Tabulia searches the documents on your computer or phone — books, PDFs, office files and scanned pages — and answers your questions with numbered references to the passages it used. It reads your files where they sit: nothing is copied, moved or uploaded to index them. And the Lumineus library is one tap away, beside them.
PDF, EPUB, MOBI, Word, OpenDocument, RTF, PowerPoint, Excel and plain text — and pictures of text (TIFF, PNG, JPEG, HEIC), read with text recognition.
Keyword search finds your words. Meaning search finds passages about the same idea even when they use other words — with a model that runs on your own device.
An answer is written only from the passages found, each point numbered back to its passage — tap a number to jump to the passage it came from.
Search your own files, the Lumineus library, or both at once, with the same question.
Write notes on documents and passages, and file them in categories of your own. With a Lumineus Premium account they follow you to your other devices — encrypted first, so Lumineus carries them without being able to read them.
Have an answer or a passage read aloud. On the phone, say your question instead of typing it.

Searching your own files needs no account. The full version comes with a Lumineus Premium account — sign in from inside the app.
Tabulia is in beta. Things may still change or break between versions. Your library, notes and categories are kept when you install a newer one.
By installing Tabulia you accept its Terms of Use; what the app does, and does not, send anywhere is in its Privacy Policy.
Settings reordered by use, with Terms of use, Privacy policy and Licences and notices together in one Legal group at the bottom. Sorting on the Library's own lists - Folders, Categories and Tags - and on Saved History, each list remembering its choice. Scrollbars can be dragged with the mouse: in Folders, Categories, Tags, the folder tree and inside a folder they could not be grabbed before, and Saved and Notes had no bar of their own. The scrollbar in a search result list no longer slips away from the pointer. The Library's Folders view no longer queries the index while you scroll it.

Lumineus is the online library: a curated, public-domain collection you search in your browser. Tabulia is its companion on your own device, for your own documents — and it can search Lumineus as well, so both answer the same question side by side.
No. Tabulia searches your own files without one. Signing in to a Lumineus Premium account from inside the app gives you the full version on that device.
Quick indexing reads the first pages of every file, so each one can be found soon after you add a folder. Deep indexing reads everything; for a large library that takes hours, and scanned pages take longest. It carries on where it left off if it is interrupted.
Windows warns about programs it has not seen often yet. Choose More info → Run anyway. To be sure the file is ours, compare its SHA-256 fingerprint with the one under Check the file above.
